Slow day
Thinking about dying the tips of my hair but I can't decide on a colour.
It's really hot today.
I went to the beach.

jo's "i heart melbourne" week
Day 1:
Coffee! i love my cuppa coffee. Cafes are on the top of my list of things i love about it here. So! everyday i will try a new coffee spot for the rest of the week.
today was Kinfolk with Cerlyn. it's this uber cool not-for-profit place right outside Southern Cross station.
Day 2:
Glenhuntly. my brother and sister used to live there so it's sorta like a 'reminiscing' trip. popped by Whyte for coffee (ok i've been here before, so it doesn't count). went to THE opp shop at the corner of the block, i never fail to find something good there. bought a tie-dye maxi for 3 bucks, yes! picked up some studs on the way home to make my Bloody Beetroots thing for Stereosonic.
Day 3 (12am):
late night coffee hunting turned into a roadtrip to Mornington with the guys. we got hopelessly lost for a good hour before finding the pier. cracked open a bottle of wine and waited for the sunrise.
Day 4:
went to Giraffe in the city today, always wanted to check it out but never had the time.
realised how much i adore frankie (the magazine). went shopping later that night, my god! i've been spending too much this week
Day 5:
went to North melbourne with Ryan for brunch at Dead Man Espresso. BEST BLT EVER. Ooo my tummy just did a back flip thinking about it.
dropped by Giraffe again to apply for a job, i really want to work in a cafe.
Day 6:
STEREOSONIC!!
it was amazing! amazing i tell ya!
i've never seen so many buff people in my life! hahaha
Arty & Dash Berlin was hands down the best! didn't get to see all the performances that i wanted but it was still good.
I LOVE AUSTRALIAN MUSIC FESTIVALS :}
Day 7:
chilling day in the city. sew my ballerina frog for my church's christmas gift giving service in Laurent, picked up some cakes from Ganache, got my results for sem 4, fuck.

At last, Stereosonic is upon us *pelvic thrust* just ONE more day!
now you may think that this is all fun and daisies. it's not! this is months of preparation. there is the research* phase, the strategic planning stage, intense physical training** etc.
anyways here are a some nuggets of wisdom that i've picked up to get the most of your music festival experience:
1) don't bring a bag! you don't need it! it's such a burden, you have to lug it around (trust me, it gets heavier and heavier by the hour) you have to keep an eye on it all the time because all your valuables are in it, you can't really dance with it. just forget it! man made pockets for a reason. which brings us to our next point
2) always wear something with pockets. deep tight (so tight you gotta wiggle around to get your stuff out kind of tight) pockets.
3) ziplock bags are your friend. they're not bulky, foldable, waterproof (you never know) and secure. if it's good enough for yourweed sandwiches, it's good enough for your id, money, tickets etc. now put it your pocket!
4) don't bring/wear anything you don't want to lose (obviously)
5) it's always fun to wear something that represents the artist (i don't know man, for me that's one of the best part la) be it blinged out sunnies a la calvin harris or glowstick mau5 ears
yeah i guess that's it. i'm going to bed now and when i wake up, stereo will be tomorrow!!
*listening to all the acts's songs as well as youtube-ing their live sets. very important! the feeling you get when they play a song you know or better, love! ahhhh bliss
**i've never been this fit my whole life :) i'm ready to bolt form stage to stage and shake my ass off for ten hours straight! no breaks!
