our merry little christmas

Tze horng and Deidre threw a lovely christmas dinner today.

Everyone donned festive attire (reindeer antlers and santa hats included). the table was set to perfection! dede's brother is a perfectionist! so adorable.

The meal was all the things a festive dinner should be; homely comfort food, loaded with carbs (the chicken was roasted with TWO sticks of butter!) (haha the secret is out), and most important, abundant. tze horng did a really good job.

then we sang carols, discussed philosophies, exchanged gifts, all very merry stuff

it was the only time i had the "christmas" mood this year.

our flight back from Singapore

we got a little carried away in Changi airport doing lord knows what.

then we were so close to missing our flights, we ran like mad. i now know how those people in the amazing race feel.

we were so relieved to board the plane (and exhausted) that all of jean's flying anxiety was gone.we still felt like dancing.

haha she's one fun person to fly with :)

best things in life are free

last Saturday (11th dec, something good always happens on the 11th, you'll see) i was on a beach, drenched in sweat, thirsty and aching all over while dodging torsos and limbs in a massive crowd but still managing have the time of my life! with glow sticks and electric blue hair extensions!

yeap, last week i was in Singapore for Zoukout with two of my best girlfriends, u jean and melly, i couldn't have gone with anyone better :)

Zoukout was 10 hours of non-stop head bobbing house and techno heaven, my ears were so spoiled, in the good way of course.

Tiesto was really the only dj i was looking forward to, and apparently everyone else too, it was so packed when he was spinning i had to tip toe just to catch a breath, but it was worth it!

David Guetta was there too, he played until the sun came up, literally. hmm who else, oh a whole bunch of other great djs la, most of them i didn't know about until vincent was telling us the next day, wasted :|

the whole rave was an awesome experience; the next morning, not so much hahah catching a cab was impossible!

but then again it was funny seeing all the other people in beach wear sleeping/passed out/looking like zombies among the morning crowd on the train.

the rest of our trip was well like this; sleep, mos burger, barbra streisand, dancing on Orchard road, more sleep, MRTs, late for flight, panic, not late for flight after all, relief

Kings of Convenience on my mind

the girls and i had a 'getaway' at my apartment since the nearest beach* was at least an hour away, driving that far defeats the purpose of a having a 100% stress-free day.

objectives of the day: tan lines!; forget about work (applies for melly only la); girly bonding time

i really love the sun, honestly thats the best thing about Malaysia. i love Malaysia!

anyways we discovered 4-5pm is the best time to sunbath. the sun isn't too hot but warm enough, while the breeze cools you down when it gets too warm. mmm yes i do love Malaysia

*and by beach i mean one of those yuck beaches with dirty muddy sand that cuts your feet cause of the rubbish in it and sticky disgusting water. so no thank you. come to think of it, i kinda miss Australia. oh i love you too!

i made 3bucks that night, not bad for my first try hahah

started my day (3pm) with a cup of cereal and milk, completed the whole exercise program on the treadmill (without reducing the speed :) (long lean muscles baby!) and now i'm painting my nails muddy grey while listening to Kaskade and Jamiroquai. man i am loving the holidays!

my last paper ended exactly a week ago, and it has been non-stop awesome so far. post-exam partying, photo shoots for fuzzy logic, a failed surprise party, catching up on girly time with my bffs plus Deidre just got back from Singapore! :D

alright ttfn, theres a D700 at home that i intend to get to know better :)
